Looking for some books...

Ok...looking for some suggestions from anyone out there. I'd like to get some good books on transracial adoption and also some books on Ethiopia and it's culture. Please let me know which books you've found useful.

Thanks!

Hi Dawn! It looks like we are on the exact same track/timing w/ everything! SO fun if we end up traveling together! SO freaked out about our low wait number! You would think I'd be psyched and I was when we got the call-but since then I have gone more into the freak out mode :) It could be my toddler ramping up her use of the newly mastered words "no!" and "mine!" that could be promting me to say "we're doing this all over again??? for the FOURTH time??" haha! But I am so glad to find all of you-I just felt like we were in our own little world and the big yahoo Ethio adoption group is a little frustrating so I am in 7th heaven right w/ the AGCI listserv! Thanks for stopping by! And the books Amy mentioned above are the ones I am hoping to read-my b-day is in 10 days so I am hoping to get them for my b-day!!

Inside Transracial Adoption and Are Those Kids Yours are two books that friends who have adopted transracially have recommended. Good Luck

I've read Inside Transracial Adoption. It's thorough and good (but can be scary in the reality sometimes). It's good to read it though and be prepared for what you may face :)!

We all saw the POWER in prayer and fasting when we as a blog family took a day to do this for the hold on some of the Ethiopia adoptions.. SO I feel that we as a blog family need to do this for Margot (Julies' mom) SO please join me this Friday July 25,2008 for a day of fasting and prayer for Margots healing!!!!
